ffa_bespin Update (Yay!)

Post by UnLimited »

Hi Guys,
i made this 'graphics' update for ffa_bespin.
Now it looks like there is a sun shining on the map + light is emitted by lamps (so light doesn't come out of nowhere anymore).
Enjoy it and have fun! (if there is anybody still there... ;) )

So the features are:
-new lighting
-different skybox
-use of dynamic glow
-new levelshot (WOW!)

Important:
With the MV installed use the bespin_update file.
Without MV use the bespin_update_noMV file.
If ffa_bespin looks unchanged, change the filename to zzzzzzzz.

Installation:
Open the .zip file.
Put the .pk3 file you chose into the gamedata/base folder.

Download:
Screens in the comments...

Hey UnLimited, looks very nice :D If you want to keep it in one file, rather than having both an "MV" and "NoMV" version, due to the dynamic glow I presume (?), you can use the .dynGlow files that only affects JK2MV.

Example:
shaders/sabers.dynGlow

Example content:
// Red saber
gfx/effects/sabers/red_glow:gfx/effects/sabers/red_glow2

// Orange saber
gfx/effects/sabers/orange_glow:gfx/effects/sabers/orange_glow2

// Yellow saber
gfx/effects/sabers/yellow_glow:gfx/effects/sabers/yellow_glow2

// Green saber
gfx/effects/sabers/green_glow:gfx/effects/sabers/green_glow2

// Blue saber
gfx/effects/sabers/blue_glow:gfx/effects/sabers/blue_glow2

// Purple saber
gfx/effects/sabers/purple_glow:gfx/effects/sabers/purple_glow2

// Blur
gfx/effects/sabers/saberBlur:gfx/effects/sabers/blurglow
This way you can have the dynamic glow for people with JK2MV, without making it incompatible for people who doesn't use MV :)

Or use this: https://github.com/mvdevs/jk2mv/wiki/MV-Shaders Both methods are fine and will continue to work in jk2mv.
