That is a serverside issue, i think isnt fixed on dc mod (or ur version), if u have the source code of your dc mod we can give u the code to fix that.

Isnt jk2mv related

hehe, yeah.

It's possible to create a workaround in jk2mv though.
We totally forgot about this one.

But just like Tr!Force said, it's better to fix it in the mod (dcmod or whatever)

thanks for reporting

True, though as DcMod isn't open source that might prove to be slightly difficult to do in his case :D

I don't know when one of us has the time for it, but we do know that bug and how to fix/workaround it. Thanks for the info.

What are the main things u use from dcmod? Maybe we can recommend u to use another mod...

For force servers there isn't really any public alternative to DcMod yet :)

The thing is , SoL server runs jk2mf ( the old version ) , with dcmod.
And you can't saber steal there .

I think Ouned and Daggolin just forgot about it; as Daggolin mentioned they know how to fix it, but they don't know when they will have time :)

JK2MF was something entirely different than JK2MV. We did indeed forget about saberstealing. I honestly thought saberstealing was already fixed in jk2mv, as my tests did not let me steal sabers (I think Boothand or Maniac were testing with me). As it seems you can't always steal sabers on basejk, that's what gave me the wrong impression and I never checked the code to make sure we have it already.

SoL using JK2MF does indeed protect them from saberstealing, but it leaves them vulnerable to many other - far worse - bugs. I haven't checked if DCMoD has fixes against any of those, but I assume that you can easily kick anyone on their server (without rcon), bypass bans and a lot of other things...
So switching to JK2MF until JK2MV fixes saberstealing is not an option you should consider. ;)

The best outcome would be to wait until a next version of JK2MV is out, considering like Kameleon said; there's no alternate mod for force fighting aside from DCMod 1.2 (which honestly is a little disappointing, there's quite a few things about DCMod that I dislike :D)

Why exactly is DCMoD without alternatives for force fighting?

It is the only public mod with a force duel mode, except TwiFire  That is the main reason you would usually see a force server choose DcMod over DS-Online; that and then because of the trigger system :)
