Sensitivity with JK2MV

Post by Miso »

So this is something I've noticed with JK2MV compared to regular JK2MP, and even applies with JAMP.

Sensitivity feels lower than normal, even though I use default (5) with same DPI. But on regular JK2MP & JAMP, with default sens, it feels much higher. Is there a setting that JK2MV that controls sensitivity more? I hope somebody knows what I'm talking about here.

It's SDL thing I think (our library for input and opengl handling), with different versions it doubles or halves. Apparently they can't make their mind up about some internal sensitivity handling :D

Just try doubling/halving your /sensitivity value and it should be back to what it was.

I installed it yesterday and had a similar issue. For me the sens was super high though, and even if i try to change the sens in console nothing happens. I even tried doing /sensitivity 0.00000001 and i still had the same sens.

I think it depends on the resolution of your mouse since jk2mv now uses raw mouse input for higher precision

Are you sure about this? Can you:
1. try again
2. try /sensitivity 0
3. type in_restart

Do any of you experiencing issues have the windows sensitivity slider set to anything other than the default 6/11 notch?
