File upload guidelines

Here you can download and upload mods (maps, models/skins, clientside/serverside code mods, ...) and other useful files for Jedi Knight II.

File upload guidelines

Before uploading mods, please make sure it doesn't violently violate any of these criterias O:-) .
  • We don't want to host direct ports of models. An example would be directly bringing a model from another game into JK2. This is considered illegal (and bad modding practice), but the main reason is that some companies like to sue. JK2Files got forced to take down all ported content from Bioware, and we don't want trouble!
  • If you want to upload someone else's work, make sure you have their permission and give full credit to whoever made it. We're also okay with simply linking a mod to a site like JKHub with a similar files policy, instead of getting new permission to re-upload it.

Here's a template we want you to use for uploaded files, when posting a thread.
Also include a readme.txt in the .zip file of your mod with this information, including the statement in big letters!


Title: [What's the name of the mod/file?]

Author: [Who made this?]

Release date: [When was the mod first released to the public?]

Description: [A description of the mod along with screenshots at the bottom, before the big letters, if relevant]

As a final note, please use the built-in upload tool and avoid confusing commercialized upload services :ok_hand: If it fails, leave a link and we'll fix it!
