im looking to play the game again, but the problem is the r2o forum which is down, contained the files required to install jk2. they were contained in a online dropbox.

I'm using JK2mv alongside this, so it doesn't require me to log into Steam/use the Steam client at all or use a CD or anything. Seems to me like the easiest way to get/play JK2, and you'll have it forever from a few clicks.

use the cd you bought some years ago.

All you need besides jk2mv are assets0.pk3, assets1.pk3, assets2.pk3 and assets5.pk3 files and afaik they are included in any distribution of the game released over the years. You can get a steam version and copy the assets to jk2mv directory (althought it would probably violate all possible steam EULAs, making it not any better than pirating the game from legal point of view).

You are not suposed to move the asset files from their default directory into the JK2MV directory. If you do so, then JK2MV won't work :lol:

in case you are use the steam version on mac and don't use the current git version of jk2mv you actually are.
because on osx jk2mv 1.0.2 only detects the appstore version automatically.

ik this is pretty long 2year reply xd but how do u put jk2mvp into steam directory because i dont want to do 1.04

nvm got it to work, but man im shit. anyone know how to minimize client

Alt + Enter or hit the Windows key (if on windows)

on mac mate, for some reason when i do alt + enter, it may minimize but i cant like get off the jk2 screen its weird. do u know how to fix that?

No idea about mac, but alt tab?

You do realize that the point of JK2MV is to work on multipel versions? You install it on top of the 1.04 version, but can still use it to play 1.02, and you can even have it only show servers from 1.02

press the command (mac) key on macos to minimize
