Ping is relative. If you play on sv_fps 100 all pings increase, but people often describe the gameplay as "more fluent". :P Without the sv_fps 100 nf-dimension pings on dark would be lower, too. Anyway, everyone needs to find a server that suits their needs. And if there is none they can j...

The shaders you use have influence on the the properties of the ground below you. They decide whether the ground is slippery, no-falldamage, water, non-dfa-able, ... Ah, just saw this. I still have some kind of "techDemo" I made for some friends where I added several different func_ objects. I am not on my computer, but if you are interested I could look sometime whether I still have it or not. Maybe sparks an idea or two. ;)

I am going to update them to the [DARK] servers soon. Those servers have mapvotes enabled for years now and people play custom maps there every now and then.

A challenge map is always exciting. And I guess we figured out most of the area we were stuck in. Just the part where we have to roll and then grip each other up (assuming you are supposed to roll there) is rather difficult cause we mostly mess up the timing. ^^

It kind of feels like my first attempts on climbing mountains and strafe jumping did. Just that it is not about improving ones own jumping skills, but the gripping experience with a partner. I am really looking forward to find out whether it gets easier over time (like jumping did) or not. ;) Thanks...
