1.1-321 - I guess someone didn't fetch the tags (git fetch --tags). ^^ Did you build "portable" or not? If not you can specify "+set fs_homepath ." and "+set fs_basepath ." in the start parameters to make it read/write to the current folder, just like it would on portab...
Whenever an FTP admin uploads a new map he/she needs to create a config file for the map to specify the settings and enable the timers on there. The same config specifies whether it's in test mode or not. So along with the pk3 the FTP admin uploads a small text file and that specifies the map settin...
The 1.04 server has a "test mode" for maps to not save any times for beta maps. So I don't see any reason why anyone needs direct access to timer data. The server can handle those internally, without the risk of anyone accidently messing things up via FTP. And regarding FTP for maps, miso ...
Well, the 1.04 server has gotten a few upgrades over time. Most maps are played with force level 3. But not all of them. And most of the common maps among the 1.02 players are going to be played with level 1 force jump. The server currently offers two different modes, so you can switch between pJK2 ...
The ground frictions isn't different in 1.02/1.04 as far as I know. The only real difference is backwards-running on 1.04 only has 0.75 times the speed as on 1.02. But that does NOT affect air backwards, so it doesn't matter 99 percent of the time. Therefor it doesn't matter whether one plays on 1.0...
I'm probably an egoist, but fuck 1.04 The community is small enough as it is, no need to split it even further. Play whatever version you want to play and let others play whatever they want to play. If someone comes up with great maps, mods or other content around one version the other version can ...
Hello, there is already two servers around jk2 that offer similar features. The "/ / / DeFRaG" server on 1.02, as well as the "[DARK]JumpServer" on 1.04. As the general movement is the same on both versions there is no real reason not to play on 1.02/1.04, even if you dislike tha...
Ye, the whole site got moved to another server last night, so the first few hours it might still have had an issue or two.
But as far as I can tell ouned seems to have solved those issues by now.
I'll check later, but it may be "inaccurate", because I don't have exactly the same camera perspective in JK2MV. Thanks for the cvar tips, I'll check those out too. You know what would be REALLY awesome? To be able to record demos in SP and play them in Jomme. I always wondered why it was...
Hello and welcome back to jk2! The best way to judge how much things have changed is by hoping right into the game and figuring it out I guess. I guess the biggest change is that the jk2 source code got released in 2013, allowing engine modifications like jk2mv (all 3 patches in one, lots of optimis...

Just like fau I am usually not a fan of flat maps and I am not a fan of ffa_cloudshark, but ffa_mabase looks really nice. Well done, I like it.
And those skyboxes.
During the first testing of the map a lot of players joined (Damn jk2mv for having auto download =D) and if you were one of them you have to remove the previously downloaded map, cause they have the same name. As long as the file downloaded via jk2mv got the prefix "dl_" in the client's b...
Add a trigger_multiple for the "start box" and a trigger_multiple for the "finish box". Give each of them a distinctive targetname (like "start" and "finish"). Server mods can pick those up later and replace them with actual timer triggers (cause basejk doesn'...
