Re: Curious about something.

Hey Jamtrix! I reaaaally miss Jam's kill tracker. I don't think it's many months since I saw Shax using it, although not with JK2mv. It's too bad it won't work anymore.

Jedi Academy will follow soon after in early 2020, with Aspyr bringing back the game’s much-celebrated online multiplayer battles
I wonder if that means MP only in JKA?

Re: Hosting a JK2 Server with JK2MV (Windows / Linux)

I haven't looked into this tutorial, but in that log the search path for DS-Online and base (bottom one) are mixing forward and back-slashes (/ and \). Have you set those yourself, somehow?

It's not finding the server files, so it's not looking in the right place at least(?).

Re: Jk2mv saber style won't change

Jk2's camera behaves sub-optimally at 60 fps. JK2 has frame rate dependent code and certain FPSes will make the math work in/against your favour in different ways. 125 is standard I believe?

Re: Two requests

cl_noPrint 1 disables messages completely. Won't that also disable the "You need a KEYTYPE to open this" message? And the "You got a KEYTYPE" message? If so, that could mean he would have to look at his inventory all the time? Or does that cvar only handle the top messages, and ...

That's where the people who work on OpenJK (and by extension OpenJO) hang out. Maybe eezstreet or ensiform will be able to help you.

Re: Two requests

Yeah, afraid I can't help with the JO SP build. The strafe command, as I know it, works like this: You can bind a keyboard button to +strafe, then when you hold it, you can move gradually using the mouse. However, that locks the view, so it might be a dead end, not sure.

Re: Two requests

For gradual movement, you could play around with the +strafe command. Though not sure if it will be possible to have both free look and +strafe, since I think +strafe only lets the mouse be used to move gradually.

Have you tried using something like XPadder/Antimicro? It maps keyboard/mouse buttons to your gamepad, including mouse movement.

Sounds like it would be fun. May not be too hard with some server side modifications, for someone familiar with the source code.

For the borders, a map could use doors that only open/close once, triggered by a timer running out.

Re: UnityMod [Clientside]

Nice work! Is this only 1.04, or for 1.02 as well? I would tag the topic with compatible game versions. As for the cheats, not sure if I've understood correctly, but they only work if the server runs UnityMod serverside, with a cvar enabled, right? As in, you can't take the clientside to a non-Unity...
