Re: Another bug in JK2MV?

Or perhaps this map is blacklisted by server admin? I think in that case jk2mv doesn't reference the file and the client won't attempt to download it. I think it's a space in the file name, something like "Chicago Streets.pk3" and the client tries to download "Chicago.pk3" from the server, cause th...

Re: Another bug in JK2MV?

I assume the filename on your server has got a space in it. The original jk2 download system didn't support spaces in filenames and as we maintain legacy compatibility jk2mv doesn't support spaces either.

Re: Network cvars (Clientside/Serverside/Source code)

You are making some very unrealistic assumptions James. Not every server is running from a GBit connection. There is servers on just 100 MBit connections or less. For home connections 100 MBit is the maximum anyone I know has. And those who do are just a few. Many people I know have only got 16 MBit...

Toggles: + - ! "n" +: Begin a command consistently. -: End a command. !: Toggle a command's variable or mode. n: The number within a command, such as cg_marks "1" and "0". Re: Make KAI playable

Regarding the abuse of emotes, countering abuse with abuse is not the solution, it just makes it more frustrating for everyone else. The right approach would be to write down the specific ways of how emotes are being abused and then patching the emotes to not be that abusable anymore.

Re: Make KAI playable

My thoughts on your list: Commans like amsit and debugknockmedown have been a thing on 1.04 ffa servers from as early as 2002 as far as I remember. It's true that they don't appeal to everyone, but just the fact that you are annoyed by people using them means that some people do infact like and use ...

Re: JK2MV 1.3 possible bug

I just took a quick look at what Kameleon has sent me. First thing I noticed: DCMoD uses a command called "dccvar" to set the bitvalues for each rank. In the config I received it looked like this: dccvar dc_hcrights "ALL +SECRET +PROTECT +CHEATS +FLY" The command however seems to only work without q...

Re: JK2MV 1.3 possible bug

With lvl3 + full permissions they didn't show/work on 1.3, but they did work on 1.2.1 and jk2Ded. So 1.3 acts DIFFERENT than jk2Ded. With lvl2 + full permissions they didn't show/work in 1.3 OR jk2Ded.exe, but they still worked fine invitation 1.2.1 :) So 1.3 acts THE SAME as jk2Ded. With lvl1 + fu...

Re: JK2MV 1.3 possible bug

It's very unlikely that the issue is jk2mv related. Anyway, can you give us some more information? Which version of DCMoD are you running? Any custom tweaks? What permissions did you set? What other options did you configure? Also is the error reproducible (does it happen whenever you install jk2mv ...

Re: C-mountain download

I could be wrong, but there is parts that miso, Cutie, Goldfinger and I can't even figure out together. The only possible way we see is a jka wall-run, which we don't have on jk2. Could it be that the mountain in its current state is undoable on jk2?

EDIT: valar, space and I figured it out it seems.

Re: maps [DARK]jumpingserver

If you're using JK2MV you should get http downloads. If for some reason a few of those maps are not downloadable post them here and it's going to get corrected. There is no central place to download all the maps, because a few mappers have FTP access to that server and they upload their maps directl...

Re: canno't start a server on jk2mv with latest version ?

1.1-321 - I guess someone didn't fetch the tags (git fetch --tags). ^^

Did you build "portable" or not? If not you can specify "+set fs_homepath ." and "+set fs_basepath ." in the start parameters to make it read/write to the current folder, just like it would on portable.

Re: DeFrag 1.02

Whenever an FTP admin uploads a new map he/she needs to create a config file for the map to specify the settings and enable the timers on there. The same config specifies whether it's in test mode or not. So along with the pk3 the FTP admin uploads a small text file and that specifies the map settin...

Re: DeFrag 1.02

The 1.04 server has a "test mode" for maps to not save any times for beta maps. So I don't see any reason why anyone needs direct access to timer data. The server can handle those internally, without the risk of anyone accidently messing things up via FTP. And regarding FTP for maps, miso already ha...
