Re: My Boba Fett costume

Wow, that is some high quality costume play there. It does not look like a low-budget suit at all. Also, Wow! People never look the way you might imagine them from behind a nickname and a game avatar. lol.

Re: Asking for information: TSL and skins

Oh. That makes a lot of Sense. I have been in RoS when playing the 1.02 version of JK2, while i was in SoL in the 1.04 version. Thank you Kameleon, for clearing that up.

Asking for information: TSL and skins

Hello, I know that it has been a long time since i posted here (Sol Exi). So here i bring some drama. :* Today a Padawan came to me and claimed that my own Exi skin, which i made trough editing desann his base skin by adding a lightsaber shader to his skin, coloring the texture, and adding "exi...

JKA model animation bug.

http://i.imgur.com/TRvuJal.png - It seems that there is a bug in the system which renders a different part (more a set-up) of the model in front of the player when gripping. - it does not affect gameplay it seems to be a pure rendering isseu. - I grabbed the source for JK2MV on 21 july 2016 - i don...

Re: Possible bug - Screenshots, Fullscreen, windowed.

Ok thank you. I will try this soon. When i encountered that line my line of thought began to drift to missing features but i never even once thought of overbrightbits. The firmware the system is using is for a R300 IGP but the MESA system shares its name with the R200. But yes, it is old and ...

Re: Possible bug - Screenshots, Fullscreen, windowed.

Interesting. I have been googling and i found Quake 3 startup logs where the engine states : GAMMA: hardware w/ 0 overbright bits. Maybe there is a way to make the JK2 engine detect such systems. I am going to test your recommendation on another time Fau. If that would be the problem then i wonder w...

The first run made after compiling a new JK2VM today. We (reporter and programmers :D ) might be one step closer to figuring this out : Test Run A : Engine boots in windowed mode. Gamma / brightness is correct, these correct settings remain active when switching to fullscreen mode. dont mind the clo...

Re: Possible bug - Screenshots, Fullscreen, windowed.

I deleted all the configs. Booted the game. Set it to 800x600 32bit, and then restarted, yes. i call that a clean and logical config for an actual real-life situation and test. Desktop resolution is not realistic for this IGP either (lol). I downloaded the source for what i am using only a day or tw...

Re: Possible bug - Screenshots, Fullscreen, windowed.

Funny post about my screenshot : The only non original textures in my last screenshot are the black floor, and the white floor. everything else is the direct and pure result of how the Gamma corrected rendering is darkening the colors while also providing higher contrast. The only texture mod i run...

Re: Possible bug - Screenshots, Fullscreen, windowed.

wtf. in case fau's suggestion doesnt work: - GPU name + driver (mesa? binary driver?) - delete your jk2mvglobal.cfg to reset all settings - turn off texture compression which sometimes acts weird with mesa drivers: r_ext_compress_textures also: why are you still on wheezy? everything is so outdated...

Re: Possible bug - Screenshots, Fullscreen, windowed.

The first screenshot is nothing more than windowed mode on Debian with a windows style window manager theme. All the screenshots i posted here are on a Debian based system. I only wrote that i compared it to running the original retail exe of jk2 on wine. The JK2MV already ran on Linux systems befor...

I have never even once written that i run jk2MV trough wine. I never even once ran JK2MV on w...

Re: Possible bug - Screenshots, Fullscreen, windowed.

Yeah, that was one problem. I downloaded the master as a zip somewhere around last Saturday. The zip does not contain a Tag, or main Git version in its filename. I looked around for a number before i posted this thread.

I will check a new Git version soon.

Possible bug - Screenshots, Fullscreen, windowed.

There could be a possible bug in the Gamma / brightness system behind JK2MV. This Problem does not exist when running the windows version of JK2 on Linux trough Wine which could mean 3 things ; A SDL misconfiguration, A bug in JK2MV, or an incompatibility with some Linux graphics drivers. Screenshot...

Useless in terms of being ancient and highly dependent on certain CPU's, but i could not figure out what was done to replace it.

That was a bad choice of words. I was referring to these memory routines : jk2-1.04-src/CODE-mp/qcommon/common.cpp void _copyDWord (unsigned int* dest, const unsigned int constant, const unsigned int count) // optimized memory copy routine that handles all alignment // cases and block sizes efficien...

Re: Clean Source version without MV ?

I was hoping for one just to play using an as original as possible 1.04 version, while also reading bits an pieces to indeed figure out what replaced the assembler based caching and others. But also in hopes of modding it somewhere along the line.
