Re: WIP : CTF focused map pack for JK2!

Well, it definitely looks interesting from the screenshots. I would like to test it out whenever you finish your tweaks.

Re: WIP : CTF focused map pack for JK2!

lil_binger, you could try asking some people in the jk2 thugs group on FB for ideas or testing of CTF maps. There are a lot of 1.02 CTF players in the group.

Re: Conversion of SP maps to MP-playable, serverside

Thanks for all the info. As far as I remember this is caused by the modelindex being an unsigned 8-bit integer, but getting networked as signed 8-bit integer. So any modelindex above 127 leads to an overflow and the client gets a CM_InlineModel() error./quote] That... is really lame. But I had an id...

Conversion of SP maps to MP-playable, serverside

Has anyone here determined what causes calls to CM_InlineModel() with a negative model index on the SP maps that don't pass the submodels limit?

Re: -- Streaming Gtk --

I recompiled GTKRadiant 1.6.4 for Windows as 32bit. Literally all I did was duplicate the very few JA references and then rename them to JK2. Then I downloaded the JK2 game pack from icculus.org, extract the files, and structure them similarly to how JA was done. It's a hack at best, but GTK ran jus...

Re: Suggestion on forums

It was just sarcasm, I didn't mean for it to be taken so seriously :P However, now that were on the subject of forum softwares, have you ever tinkered around with MyBB? If I were trying to recommend a new software for a site like this, it would be that. I don't know how things are these days, but in...

I'd sooner grab XenForo, but that costs some monies . Totally worth it if you don't mind dropping down a payment though IMO. It's a personal favorite of mine, I'm on several forums that use it and I even manage some of them.. Totally not biased :P I dont like pay for web addons, extensions, or what...

Re: WIP: Account system, various fixes for 1.02

that is just nice, specially the password protection I agree. I am currently using md5 hashing, though I am looking in to the possibility of importing SHA512 instead. UI changes (.menus) need client downloading, but in a pk3... and yes, .menu files can send & get custom info from the server, an...

WIP: Account system, various fixes for 1.02

So I was bored and decided to make an account system for jk2 (1.02), inspired by Lugormod from jk3. In Lugormod, players were able to register accounts on the server and use them for tracking stats, authenticating administrative permissions, and various other things. so far, I've managed to get a wo...
